Premier album de Waysted fondé par Pete Way avec notamment Paul Raymond et Fin à la voix éraillée, ce "Vices" transpire le rock'n'roll et fait bonne figure.

Néanmoins je lui préfère le suivant "The good the bad the waysted" ou encore l'album du retour en 2004, "Back from the dead".

Il contient toutefois deux de leurs meilleurs brûlots, à savoir le speedé "Night of the wolf" avec son intro magique mais trompeuse ... puis aussi le festif et sexy "Hot love", sûrement une mes favorites de leur courte, mais très recommandable discographie.

Le reste de l'album un ton en dessous mais restant par ailleurs d'un niveau fort correct, il ressortira de ce premier album un résultat fort encourageant pour la suite du groupe. (Laurent Jacquot)
