En 1982 George s’approprie les services d’Ian Stewart (The Rolling
Stones) et rameute tous ces musiciens pour enregistrer l’album
incontournable de leur discographie, Bad To The Bone. La chanson
éponyme deviendra culte grâce à son rythme très accrocheur et
efficace, elle fut d’ailleurs mainte fois utilisée au cinéma, ou
durant des concours de sports mécaniques. Le groupe se fait remarquer
et il tourne alors à un rythme effréné à travers les Etats-Unis, se
produisant même 50 jours d’affilés lors de la tournée 50/50 à travers
50 états différents.
